I took my truck into the dealer get some body-related issues looked at a few days ago and they ended resetting my F250's computer for the non-stock sized tires. What a difference! Stock size was 235/85 (31.8") and I went to 285/75 (33").
Wish I had gotten it done sooner. In addition to the odometer/speedometer being corrected the truck shifts down out of OD MUCH less often now, especially on interstate hills. I'm anxious to tow my trailer with it to see if it helps with that. I checked the speedo on the 285s with a GPS a few months ago and it was 2.5mph fast at 70mph. Now after the recalibration it's dead on with my GPS.
Who and where is your dealer.I asked my dealer to do the same thing and they said they couldnt.I would like to call your dealer and have them call my dealer to tell them how it is done.
Thanks

I asked 3 of the local Dealers here and they haven't a clue as to how to go about doing it. One Dealer told me that the 2002 model cannot be done because the computer self adjust for the larger tires itself...I didn't walk out of that Dealer....I RAN !!!
