Here's some pics of me keeping up with a bunch of Heeps...

There's a full report here... Only got 'stuck' once, and I wasn't the only one either. I probably could have gotten out on my own if I worked at it a little longer, but everyone was waiting to turn around.

that looks like a Hellovagoodtime!
I would love to have some times like that, but we dont have any good mountains up here to do that in... we mostly just year up some corn fields. and yank each other out with skid loaders.

Were you the only non Heep?

The only other non-Heep was a built half Chevy half tube buggy running on propane, but he was mostly off doing his own thing. Next winter I'll be up there in my new toy, a '73 Bronco!

There is another way to get the air ride he has that is less expensive than what Glenn has I think it called Airborne and mounts to the pin box on the trailer, but then that only works for one trailer unless you would want to take the time to change it if towing something else What Glenn is the best for him I think because he dose pull at least two different trailers.
The truck with the short bed came with Valley rails and gooseneck plate in it, so it's the one I'll use the 5th wheel hitch in. I'm giving the rails and brackets that came with it to Tyler so we can use both trucks to pull whatever, gooseneck or 5th wheel.

Your 02 is always appreciated Rich! Thanks

Rich described it real well. There is also a 'rocker' type hitch that some people confuse with the slider. It will rock side to side and front to back. Helps if you get into some uneven terrain. I went from a solid mount pin box to a Mor/ryde cushion pin box. That helped but this trailer saver hitch I have now I love it so much I locked it down hoping no one would steal it, LOL. This country's infrastructure is getting so bad I felt I had to do something before I had a major break down.
I thought it was a pretty good deal. The wife and I have been talking about and looking at some 5th wheels. I had a 38' camper ( not a 5th wheel ), but I got rid of it when my Dad got sick. The last two years I had it, it never moved. Since my Dad passed away two years ago, we're thinking about getting another camper. Not that big though, a smaller 5th wheel.
This hitch I got is a slider, and it rocks side to side and back forth. Seems like a pretty good hitch. It's looks brand new. The guy said he only used it three times.
