hiccupping thread
In follow-up... I've learned a lot. Some I did not like but the bottom line is hiccupping has gone in remission. How ?
Had an independent shop verify no codes, no pending. Ran numerous Scanguage tests. No problems found, so again how ?
vRealized I had been running Delo 15/40 and hiccup started after Ford Dealership Motorcraft oil change. Ran three tanks of Lucas Fuel additive. My neighbor experienced his previously owned 6.0 and told me a 6.0 can be sensitive to changes of oil brand. Yes I may have a current or future injector issue, but currently NONE : ]
I am old school. I don't believe parts/engines should fail. They should wear out first. IMO my 6.0 should last longer than 97k miles. At this point it needs consistent brand oil and injector cleaner beyond regular maintenance.
Lastly I love the stock power, but after experiencing what a "tune" can do for my Big Rig, will eventually go SCT. The stock air cleaner cannot be beat. Found this out after 85 mph winds in Death Valley CA. And am hesitant to drive until I do coolant filter install. ALL THIS LEARNED FROM FTE FORUM
Thanks again
