What did you clean the TB with? The engine knocking is most likely unrelated unless you used some unconventional substance to clean the TB. Did you do any other tunup things to the motor?

Check the plug wires and plugs.. maybe a chunk of carbon is stuck in a plug and shorting it out, and look for arcing between wires or from wires to the engine, best to do this after dark with all the light off so it's real obvious.
