i am thinking about putting the older style superduty mirrors on my 1997 f150 and was wondering if anyone else has done this. I am pretty good at fabricating things to make them fit just looking for any advice anyone has.

 

i noticed that on the 1999 super duty mirrors that there are 4 pegs to mount it and im pretty sure that the 1997 f150 only has 3 could i just drill new holes in the door where they mount. also i could care less if i have power anything so if thats whats stopping me i dont care

 

I looked into this once, found the triangle part is different , doesnt fit right, the closest thing I found is the 1997-2003 towing mirrors
But I'm interested if you get them to fit and look oem! Then I might try it

 

this week when i get to my dads im going to look at his 99 powerstroke and see i think i could do some trimming of the plastic piece and drill some new holes and make it fit. i most likely will not have power anything but that doesent bother me. and i hope i can get them to fit i think it will look pretty cool. it will be a wile before i can even start bc my trucks getting a new trany and new rear end right now. but ill be sure to put pics up when i do it

 

i found a thread on f150online about putting 99-03 super duty mirrors onto a 1997-03 f150 and it is doable but does take some molding and fabricating. As soon as i can get a hold of some super duty mirrors i will be doing it and i will take pictures along the way and post them up when i get done
