steering stabilizer mod?

2000 f150 4x4, stock height, running 285s, I have heard good things about steering stabilizers being added to improve handling. Has anyone done this mod to their stock height 1997-2003?
If so, how was the result? what brand did you use? worth it? TIA

Nice, but I read the fabtech with only work with their lift kit, I'm trying to search for pics of different stabilizers and how they are mounted, they seem to each have their own mounting position on these trucks.
The search continues

I used a pro comp one. Night and day difference to improve handling after installing torsion keys to lift the front 2". I didn't totally mount it as instructed. Instead of replacing the lower A arm bolt with the supplied longer one, I used a short bolt and mounted it to the crossmember to the left of said bolt on passenger side (looking forward from rear).

Really? That's weird....I remember mine mounted in such a way that it didn't matter if it was lifted or not. Maybe they have changed. I guess I should have taken pictures.

No issues with it, but it is close. No rubbing. Mine looks exactly like the one pictured in the second post here: http://www.f150online.com/forums/sus...tabilizer.html

I have all the makings of putting a Rancho stabilizer on my truck, but I've got cooler lines in the way. One end mounts to where the idler arm goes, and the other to the drag link. I just have to figure out how to move the cooler lines safely to not get interference, or destroy the lines.

Well an update, I had to return the mood kit due to missing brackets. I was wondering if moog doesnt make shocks, what brand are they using in their kits?
Does anyone have the shock number for the pro comp stamped at the base of it?
The moog I recieved had 81288-0rp
