Thanks!! It is getting there. I am working on the front end now. I have all so painted the valave covers Black. I throught that maybe there was to much red. I have had it out for a drive up and down the road behind my house to make sure things keep working. I just have to much carb.on it. It is a 770 i got from a friend and I feel that it is just to much. When I do the math 600 at the most.

Nice! yeah 302 600 cfm carb is more like it. I had a 600 cfm on top of a 400 and it never starved for fuel.
Nice truck though!
The gas tank is from Tank's. It was for a 51 ford truck. It was $250.00 to my house and it came with strapes , filler neck. Yes it fit right where I wanted to. The front bracket is a part of the old spare tire mount.
My engine is a 351W with a RV cam. Thats why I feel I need to go down to a 600CFM. Not sure who's I well use. I am a Holley guy but have had good luck with Elderbrock. I all so see where Summit has old style Holley for about 234.00. If any one has some input let me know.

The Holley site has a carb selector link that works quite well. I'm not at my computer or I would give you the link. Just Google "Holley carb",
They say over carburetion is one of the biggest mistakes made. It destroys low end torque on all but the highest performing engines. It really is bad on off-road applications where control is critical.
