Question about breaks

hey guys i have a 1997 f350 reg cab 4x4 with 150k , my question is when im driving and press the breaks to stop my rear end hops kinda like there is no rear breaks? i was thinking it was the RABS valve? but then i was reading a thread about some guys bi passing the RABS valve. so it seems that wouldn't be the problem cause then everyone that bi passes the RABS valve would have this problem?

Any help or input would be great i kinda a noob when it comes to breaks

If the rear hops that means the rear brakes are locking up and causing the wheels to hop. Im not sure what would cause them to do that though.

I'd be pulling the rear tires and drums off and checking what is going on first.

You need to take apart the back brakes and inspect them. sounds like they need repair. then when your done, take a break.

Alright thanks ill take a look at them this weekend. On another note have any of you bi passed the RABS valve? What's the acual point of it? Benifits?

when im going down a hill pretty fast and press the brakes it feels like the rear end is bouncing up and down. just feels like there is no rear breaks at all. it dosent feel like anythings locking up?
