Lifters?
When you rebuild a engine, which for me is the 351m, do you have to prime the lifters in oil before installing them into the engine, or can you just let them sit and put them in and prime themselves?

What I've had good luck doing is taking a clean pump type oil can with my assembly oil and filling the lifter thru' the small hole on the side of the lifter. Much faster and easier than trying to get oil in by submerging the lifter and pushing on the plunger with a pushrod. If you have trouble getting the nozzle on the oil can to seal to the lifter, wire tie a small piece of hose on the end of the oil can nozzle for a seal.
