M50d Stiff shifting problem
I hope someone here has an idea what my problem may be, even better that I dont have a problem. I have a 95 F150 XL w/Mazda 5 speed OD. It has 27000 original miles and I am the original owner. I have taken as good a care as I know how. I change all fluids by time not milage because as you can see it only gets driven on weekends to pull a small boat or pick up lumber. Recently I have noticed that the shift from 3rd to 4th is stiff and mushy, without the feeling of it dropping in gear. It does not pop out of gear or make any noise when shifting or driving. If I shift back to nuetral and back into 4th it goes in normally. The problem only seems to happen after I have driven for 20 or 30 miles and reverts back to normal once it sits awhile.
