Parking Direction
'round here, that means a couple days a year. It's either cold and snowing, or warm and raining, but not very often raining at night and cold enough to freeze in the morning.
I worry more about moisture in general, rather than the temps. If you set your brake on friday and don't move the vehicle until monday moring (as my wife tends to do), you are very likely to have a hung up shoe (or 4) in the drum. those will usually break free after a little bit of pursuasion with the throttle.
more often than not, over the years around hear, the pivots tend to rust up, and cables tend to rust up, and then they "release" but not all the way, leaving you with slighly dragging brake shoes that tend to glaze and crack cauz you can't always feel them dragging.
I've had this happen on vehicles i've used the brake every day and ones that never get used..... justs seems to be the way of the world around here.
I tend to use them as often as i can until i notice that they don't work ...then never touch them again.
If i had to park a vehicle for a week on a steep hill, given the opportunity, i'd block the wheels before i put it in park rather than set the brake..... cauz a week later something won't work right on that parking brake, in my experience.

NumberDummy! Glad to see you hang'n out in this forum, too.
Unfortunatly for you, so do I
(but i don't stir the pot quite as much up here, usually) croud's not as rough up here as it is in the dentsides though
'Course, if I lived in the Black Hills on Harney Peak, the tallest peak between the Rockies and the Alps, that would be a different scenario.
I'd love to garage it, but realistically, 243.9" is a bit long.
