But other than that, they're not bad.
Oh, the newer trucks ain't so bad, except when you have to go the fuel station every couple of days because of the horrible mileage. Or that week when the truck payment is due, or if one of the fancy gizmos starts to act up, or for the latest generation, when you try to use the stupid turn signal. Because apparently decades of a turn signal functioning in one particular way was not enough precedent for the engineers who designed the new turn signal switch. Or the engineers who decided a one ton truck should have soccer mom rear springs so that the rear end sags as soon as you put a couple of hundred pounds in the bed. Or if you push the wrong button, or if you scratch your butt the wrong way.
But other than that, they're not bad.

Haha my boss has a brand new 6.7 f250. It is a super nice truck, but man do they make these trucks so fancy now!
I've driven it a few time to make some deliverers and I see it displays the fuel mileage in the instrument cluster. I don't know how accurate it is, but I'm pretty surprised at how LOW it is. It says it's getting low 14s mileage, and this is unloaded driving.
He does do mostly city driving, but still, stock tire size and ride height with a brand new motor, I'd think it could get a little better MPGs. Maybe all that blue deff/emissions stuff is messing with it a bit.

our 2014 F350 was deleted when new, and regular weight is around 14,000 lbs. it now has 80k on it and average mileage is 16 mpg
the 6.2 trucks are even worse. average only 11 -12 mpg

I also went to some local car show thing last night while in town. People basically bring whatever they want and just walk around. People were pretty excited about my Bronco. With the new turbo, no EBPV, and my exhaust pipe currently ending about 1/2 down the frame of the truck, the turbo whistle on it is pretty loud, so people noticed that first before it was a diesel haha..
Oh and I saw a lamborghini countache. Those are probably the best ones so that's pretty cool.
I finally broke down and put a Full exhaust on my truck. After my latest trip out of state and having to yell at everyone (with windows up to boot. You had to scream at one another with them down) I decided it was time to quit being a teenager and put the exhaust back on. Its much nicer to drive now although it doesn't whistle as loud. It's worth the trade off tho lol
Three more years and you can buy you a brand new one. (Maybe two since the 2020 model will be out in 19). Let's just hope it's not a standardized F150 cab contraption like they did to the pooper duty.
Although the extra height from the box frame wouldn't be so bad on the Bronco.

as the trucks progress and i get older, i prefer the newer trucks over the older ones. the 2014 rides 1000 times better than the 2002, and the 02 rides 1000 times better than the 88 does.
the 88 is about equal to the 79's
and i feel the seats in the 2014 are 1000 times better than the old trucks too.
