Looks like an excellent donor!

In my opinion, the noisier the motor, the better. They don't cackle with low compression.

That one was sold tonight to someone else. So the hunt continues.

Thanks for understanding Nate.

I have taken matters into my hands and gone after trucks that are not for sale. I know what I am after and Thursday could be a very good day....

Anyone have a good source for starter parts and/or rebuild kits? I'm not having much luck with google search.

Edit: This would be for the 5.4 Expedition, not the PSD.

I've found another site where I can get a rebuild kit that includes the solenoid, bendix, brush holder ***’y, bushings and snap rings for $35, but they're on vacation for 2 weeks and the site is shut down for ordering.

My wife wanted a auto because her hip is giving her problems shifting her beetle. Found a 2002 beetle with 60K that is almost perfect shape. Drives and shifts good too. Haven't bought it yet but Monday we just might get the TDI. Wish now I had taken a picture. Unless I have Nate's problem and it gets taken before we get back to it.

Glenn, I wish you the best in the purchase!

As for my luck. I had to make it happen, the jury is still out on the result but it is in the driveway.

Your purchase looks real good and both of them will make you a nice truck!
