Ok i am wanting to get a couple gauges. Does anyone know of a place here in the dfw range where i can get a good deal on some? Or even online where i can get some good prices? everywhere i look they are just ungodly and someone like with VERY little income i need cheap lol
Most economical choice is a scan gauge 2. There are some good prices in the range of 140. - 160. Only thing this oddest cover is EGT but it can be used for all kinds of troubleshooting. There are lots of threads on the SGII so look for those, the big chain parts places might have a sale or buy online. I use an older outlook monitor, it also has EGT on it, but they are older and the backlighting has gone out on mine.....
Scangauge II is awesome. Mine always monitors EOT, ECT, Batt volts, FICM Volts
I also have a 4 pod pillar with Glowshift gauges. 3 of the 4 work great. My EGT works great until 1,000F...then it pegs high to 2400F and bounces around. Glowshift wants me to do electrical troubleshooting and have been a PITA to get ahold of.
I'm going to swap to ISSPRO gauges or Autometers at some point. For now I'm just dealing with that damn EGT. Luckily it played nice long enough that I know pretty well where my EGT's are when I goose the throttle
Paid $270 shipped for these gauges. It'll be about $230 for y'all in the Lower 48. I got raped on shipping
