Intro & Towing Question
Finally. I can now post. I would like to introduce myself and say hello to every body. Let's do a little history. I used to have a 1985 F-250 I-6 4spd 2wd that I drove for a couple of years. Then I got this crazy idea that I needed a car and so for the last three years i have had a 1994 mazda 626 I-4 5spd Rwd. But, last week, I saw the truck that I have wanted for a while now. It was just yesterday that I shook hands and it was mine. I am now the proud owner of a 1977 F-150 4x4 v-8 4spd Step-side. I don't have any pictures right now but i am hoping to have some soon. Drive train is pretty strong as is right now. I am hoping to let it alone and go to work on the body and interior. I am looking to fix all the little rust spots and give it a nice coat of paint. Some new door panels, seat cover, and a dash pad. toss in the radio from the mazda and I will be good to go.
And now the questions:
I need to get the truck home. I have the opportunity to trailer it home. 3 1/2 hour drive. We have a F-350 tow truck just now trailer. How big of a trailer should have try and find?
Not sure what engine i have in it. I don't have the vin with me right now. But i do know that it has 8 bolt hole covers and on the valve cover it says 351
