Looking to buy a set of Budd wheels
Hi. Stu,
I am working on a 1966 Streamline. Travel home RV. It has 2ton Ford running gear under it. I would like to find a set of Alcoa wheels to use, but I understand they have been discontinued by Alcoa. The Alcoa part number is/was 763220
At this point I would use steel wheels so I can get rid of the stock 16.5 load range D tires and wheels.
Can you help?
Thank you

Sorry, I sold my set of Alcoa 763220s about a year ago. Today they are on an F-5. Our member harleymsn (Joe) also has a set of the 763220s on his truck, so you might see if he'd have interest in selling them. I'll link below his ad to sell a set of the steel wheels that I believe are now sold. If he wants to hang on to his Alcoas, I do have a set of the steel 19.5" x 6" Budd #89340s if you want to go that direction. Here is the link to Joe's ad. Let me know if it's to be the Budds. Stu

I've never seen or heard of any Alcoa 22.5s having the 5 x 8" pattern. I'd suspect that one of the big factory connected companies, like Wheels Now up in the Milwaukee area, could custom drill you a set.
As for the 763220s, I believe the main user of them when new was the FMC motor home company. There's a guy in a small town north of me that says on his sign that he does motor home restoration. He has several FMCs sitting in the small yard near the shop, but none have Alcoas. I've stopped by there but it's been on weekends and nobody was around. I'll wander up that way sometime and see if he has a lead on any. Stu
Edit - better yet the guy has a web page (isn't Google great?!). I'd suggest Don give him a call before commiting to a set of the Budds. Email sent too. Stu

I still want to get seven 19.5x6 budd wheels that are 5 lug. 89340. We talked about the possibility of having a set in Portland in the future. If there is not something on the horizon for them in Portland is ther a possibility you could strip the tires off a set and ship them to me?

Our Oregon source has for now dried up. Our son Michael learned that the brothers running the yard have both left the country. One of their sons is still here, but Michael hasn't been able to connect with him yet. I do still have a few sets here in Illinois if you are willing to ship. A better solution for you might be to investigate this current CL ad. The seller is in Bend, OR. If this isn't your solution please let me know. Stu
