I can't imagine why you'd need to pull the cab. Unless you really want reeeeaallly easy access to the up-pipe?

Sinister has a good set of instructions:

Alright, I wouldn't fix it if it's not broken.

I would first figure out your temps then worry about it.

You have a good strong egr cooler in that truck.

It all depends on how good you are working on trucks.

For anyone who has been there on a 6.0 before its probably a 4

The oil cooler is the same as the others I believe.

Get gauges to monitor temps first.

Yes get your temps just like Tyler is Telling you

You will be Pissed to go in to do the EGR Deleate and leave a BAD Oil cooler

your 03 has a round EGR Cooler there the Good Ones its already built like a Upgraded BPD EGR Cooler

I was in same boat as you as in owning an 03 and doing the egr deleate

I went ahead and did a VERY VERY thuro coolant system flush and did the egr deleate and changed the oil cooler and upgraded to an ELC CAT EC-1 Silicate Free Coolant at that time and synthetic oil and Alll new gaskets cleaned intake manafold and all sensors within it left the EGR Valve installed and plugged in too just removd the egr coooler

I spread it out over 4 days 1 day was spent coolant flushing 8hr and 1/2 tank fuel flushing DO NOT CUT CORNERS FLUSHING. My oil coooler has 15k since it was redone and since I took the time to flush and do it right the temp deltas are still the same as when it was new

So plan on a couple Days Minimum

If I try to Hurrey threw and set a land speed record thats when I miss stuff forget things install wrong order and end up causing myself GREIF

So set enough time aside to do it that you dont need the truck and have to rush threw it Make shure its done right and NOTHING Missed

So get all your Ducks in a row first and address everything that needs it as you go
