Interesting Intake
I was at the auto parts recycler the other day and I saw an interesting looking intake manifold. It was a 4V, cast iron and looked like the FE manifold (if it is still there whenI go back I'll get the casting #), but it had a large expansion tank bolted where the thermostat would be. Anyone out there ever seen that type of setup on a 4V manifold? Just curious.

Interesting Intake
I just took one just like that from a bone yard (390) and had it rebuilty for my 71 Sportcustom. It was a 1964 engine and came out of a Mercury Monteray (hope I spelled that correctly). So, yes I have seen such a beast. The 427's looked like that in the sixties also if you are curios (for that matter I guess any of the FE's could have had it). Doc.
