why not add a solar panel to Trailer and store battery in a secure compartment?

Hey Fire Rooster. Love that pic of the white Eco Boost. Did you tint the front emblem? It looks like you did and I want to do the same but want to make sure I do it right. I bought a can of Night Shades and sprayed a spare emblem I happen to have but didn't like the results very much. (good from far but far from good). Did you do it another way? Thanks for your reply!

I don't know the Ford part numbers but my '07 E series has OEM battery boxes mounted on the passenger side frame rail and a big external brass stud which allows for a quick jumper cable attachment point.
Perhaps these same parts (or similar after market) would fit the F series?

Factory driving lights in my truck were 9140 (40W) I changed them out with the 9145 (45W) I had from my old Super Duty as I had them laying around when I swapped them for a 60W. Sylvania says they are not compatible but I have been running them for ~ 1 yr now and still have not melted the driving/fog lenses. I think it made a noticeable difference

More MPG

I have a 2010 5.4L Platinum, at best I get 15mpg if I do the speed limit all the time. Does anybody know any tricks to gain more mpg? Any and all ideas are appreciated.

Thanks<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Don't forget the Firestone Ride Right rear Air Bags...

This is probably the most useful mod I have done to my truck to date. Huge improvement in ride both loaded and unloaded.

And I can keep the truck level no matter what kind of load I'm carrying/pulling.

Just food for thought!

One of the best mods I have one to my '13 Platinum F150 SCrew is the one done by this guy on his G250 in the following link where he wires the three rear dome lights together using two diodes. I wish I had conceived this idea. Less than $5 for the diodes:
I did this on my f250 first and my f150 uses the exact same rear seat dome fixture.

I had a Fumoto on my 7.3, and it worked well. Does slow the oil drain time a little.

Maybe for 13+ qts of 15-40 but 8 qts of 5-20 doesn't take long at all. I don't know how much oil a 7.3 holds but my 6.0 held 14ish IIRC. Regardless, it beats fishing the drain plug out of warm oil when I drop it

I agree.
I took it up to Walmart once, to get the oil changed. They would not do it, because of the Fumoto.
The Tech, said he had to torque the plug, and write ir down on the W/O. I just started doing it myself.
Just got he 150 and haven't ordered a plug yet.
