Ok,
Sick about it, but damaged my tailgate and got a temporary solution pictured below for now....
Anything special in removing the stock crew cab 4x4 tailgate with lock and camera ?
Is it a wireless camera ?
I see the two 'cups' on either end that are the pivot points, but no wires...
just get two strong people and unhook cables,
then lift one side and slide other out ?
There is a cable from the bottom of the tailgate to a plug underneath the truck bed near the center - should be a cap hanging there to cover the plug when not connected to the tailgate.
Thanks FN, haven't given any reps in weeks and it says I can't give you any more !!!!! weird process if you can't thank the ones that help and must give it to others --- ah - it's ObamaReps !!!!
Hmmm, wonder if I could put a camera in a proper location (like on the 5'er hitch to use the existing connections !?!? )
