My Exp. has the 6 CD changer that decides (every so often) that there are no CD's installed when it's actually loaded. Quite frustrating when your cruising to your tunes and the radio suddenly come blaring on and the dash display says "no CD". Removing the disk cartridge and re-installing it seems to help, but it's happening more frequently now.
Has anyone had this prob.? Is the player hard to remove? Loose connection maybe?
The changer has seen better days. You can try to clean it w/some compressed air (the one in an aerosol can for computers). More than likely, it is fried. The same thing happened to mine, it eventually died completely.
Hello, The same thing happened to my changer. You may be interested in this link. I sent mine in and they rebuilt it and installed a new laser pickup. Good Luck http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereoremoval.htm
