The steering wheel on my truck is in pretty bad shape so I'm looking to replace it. I'm a big guy (6'5" 275lbs) so I'm looking to put on something that's around 13" so I have a bit more room. A friend of mine has a Grant wood steering wheel in his Chevy that's pretty nice and I'm thinking about getting one of them.
I'm just interested in seeing what you guys are running and if there's anything that I like better. It's hard to get a feel for how they look installed by just going off a pic of the steering wheel itself. I'm also looking to keep it under $150 for the wheel and adapter if possible.
stole this wheel out of my mustang, it's 14" diameter, It feels a little small, but I'm in the middle of converting the power assist to integral power steering, going to feel it out before I make a switch
Mine is a Grant... don't recall what model, but it is a 13". Got it off ebay for around $115 with shipping. Didn't like it at first since I ordered the 13" by mistake. Actually, it has worked out pretty good having a smaller diameter wheel.
Yep, I just move the turn signal cam over to the steering wheel adapter
Just so you know..depending on the column it might not be that easy.
I'm returning my Grant mainly because it is too small for me but using the stock clip from my 73...would not stay on the Grant wheel and I tried the roll pins that they include to no avail. It was like they were not in the correct place to hit the cam correctly.
Maybe I did something wrong....just my experience.
