460 is a muscle truck
That's what my '89 F250 "HD" feels like, with 460 cid engine and 4.10 rear axle. No mods.
My daily driver, a General Rotors product broken down (actually entirely through my fault) and I had to drive this truck for the whole month of April. I got so used to the power when I switched back to the small block three-fifty (with 3.23 rear), it felt way under powered. What a difference!
So now I think I own a muscle truck. No, not really, but it surely feels like it. The huge displacement makes a difference. I think from the stop light it can beat just about any V8 sedan, unless they did some real serious mods to it, like 3.73 rear axle, 300-hp engine, etc. That's of course until about 45 mph. Then the sedan wins.
