Exactly what do I have hear? Picked up some parts from an estate sale.
These appear to be 48 hood side trim but not sure. What about the six horse shoe shaped trim?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys/Gals
That '64 of yours is sweet! I was skimming thru your albums
So the six horse shoe pieces are for the hood. What else would be at the nose of the hood to make this complete? Is it one piece or two more pieces needed?
Thank you for your comments and your liking of my 64
The 64 is at the airbrush artist shop getting some trim airbrushed on. I'm trying to do a little more to it before the F100 Western Nationals.

If you click on that picture of mine at the top, to enlarge it, you can see them .
I haven't taken my hood trim apart yet, but I THINK the rest of it is part of the hood opening handle. the other side is a dummy handle, no function.
so you have 6 horseshoes which is good for 3 hoods. I don't know if that answers your question? those pieces are worth having, but I don't know what they are worth. I have mine and they are in great shape, but maybe someone will jump on here and know more about what they are worth.

Well now that I know what they are, I will take them to the shop and fix the dents and dings then polish them up.
The small piece that has the F O R D lettering in it, were the letters painted? If so what color?
Thanks for all your help so far.
Robert
I am not 100% sure if I am correct, but the ones I have seen are like a Ford engine color blue. I don't know what is truly correct though. Good thing for me to find out though!
I do know they were painted though.
The hood side moldings (bars) are being reproduced. The FORD emblems and the "U" shaped moldings are not. If you plan on selling them, I wouldn't spend the time and energy in getting them fixed. You'll never get your money back.
This is what the left "U" shape molding attaches to.
The hood latch handle goes inside the left opening.
This is the dummy handle that goes into the right opening. Notice that the end pieces is molded in, unlike on the left side.
There's also a RT and a LT to the Ford emblems. Move the Ford emblem to the right end in the top set (your first picture) in order to have it in the correct position. The top set is for the right side and the bottom set is for the left side.
