The door switches on the Econoline series are mounted in the hinged side door jam and are self adjusting. A new switch will have the center sleeve pushed completely out, after installing the switch and closing the door the sleeve is pushed in by the door. I have run into this multiple times for whatever reason the switch has been pushed in to far and the light either stays on or comes on intermittently. Inspect all the door switches, they should have roughly the same protrusion. If one were to be pushed in, you can remove the switch and push the center back out and reinstall it.

Those switches do get pushed in too far on occasion but most times they're simply worn out from frequent opening and closing. Barn door sides and rear switches are different from the fronts, both available most any parts stores since they're so commonly used. IIRC they're about $10 or less each, fronts just a bit more since they come with a new plastic fitting.
