Factory Sirius not working

Dad just picked up a really clean 06 for a hell of a deal. It has Sirius in it and we went to move the account over to that radio. However, I can't get it to work. The radio never activates, and I never even get the commercials on 184 (preview).

I also have an 06 with an aftermarket system in it, so I swapped my Sirius tuner and radio and got the same result. Next, I plugged in a different antenna to rule that out, and still no go. The only thing I haven't swapped is the wire harness that goes from the Sirius tuner to the radio (don't have one readily available).

What are the chances that this wire is bad? I've already ruled out the tuner, radio, and antenna - so as far as I know that's the only thing left.

Any ideas?

You HAVE pulled the radio and stuck it in your 06, right?

No, My 06 was in a different state at the time, so I couldn't do that. The hardware I put in his came out of mine though, where it was known working.

Mine just went out and it was the satellite box under the dash. You may have the same problem. Just a thought.

Yeah that was my first thought, and that's part of what I swapped. (I called it the Sirius tuner)
