"The Dent"
That way, I can drive with the t/g down and the carrier is automatically held against the side of the t/g. I only have to unhook the cord if I need the carrier to swing out fully, which is rare.
1st one- pulling out fast(turning left of course)to beat oncoming traffic onto Highway 12 in Avon N.C. Forgot to close it after loading up.
2nd(adding to it)-After a day on the beach I was hosing my rig down in a head
first entry self clean car wash.Swung the spare to get to the tailgate, cleaned her up good, hopped in to pull out and BAMM!, got stopped dead in my tracks.Used a 4' long s.s. rod to bend the
carrier back to where I could slam it shut.Works fine now.
Replacing the rear quarters soon anyway due to rust out.
Sudsrat
Not a show car, an off road machine!
(no offence to all who have Bronc's in gret condition, I would spend all my money at the repair shop if I fixed every single mark, and within 6months they would be back again)
