Anyone know of a shop that can do alignments on a Twin Traction Beam? Sure, any alignment shop can charge to do an alignment on a TTB but I would like it done right. Thanks in advance!

I use Jones Tire in Acworth. I also know that Weaver Brake and Alignment in Marietta is really good at what they do, and their price reflects it.
Thank you! I need new rod ends soon and really don't want to just change them and pray the alignment stays good.. I just saw in one of your pictures you have a camper top in the background.. Is that for sale? Pm me if so.
There's a very cool place in town (Atlanta) called Pete's import garage. They always have older vehicles in their front lot. I've heard very good stuff about them working on newer cars, but from the looks of things they also do classic/older work also.
They are located at : 1996 DeKalb Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
Phone404) 377-9262
I haven't used them personally, but I'd be happy to pay them a visit.

Ha Ha, No it's not for sale. We use that quite a bit. Especially when we go camping and fishing. There's a good story behind that camper, ask me if we ever get together somewhere and I'll tell you all about it.
For the older trucks, are there any good Y block guys in Georgia that you would recommend? This would be for an engine rebuild that would include engine balancing and mild modification.

Where are you located? There is a good engine place in Acworth called Goza Auto Parts. I do not know if they do Y blocks or not, but you could ask them.

I'm in Atlanta and, frankly, Acworth or Smyrna could work for me. I'll talk to both of them and see how they feel about Y blocks!

Greatly appreciated,

I used Chix some years ago (in the 80's), and they treated me very fairly and did excellent work. I now live in Acworth and talked to Goza more than once, but have not had them do any work for me yet. I have talked to several people that highly recommend them though.
If I can't get this motor mount sorted I'll need a shop over here near Douglasville. Struggled with the driver side for about 3 hours before I hit the wall and started messing things up. It would be nice to actually drive this thing. It has been sitting up the majority of the time I've owned it. I was told I didn't need a cherry picker for this job. Boy, it sure would have made a huge difference but I don't know anyone that has one.
Sucess. From what I can tell the mount needed to be loosened up and adjusted over. Once I did that I dropped it into the perch and lowered the motor down and with just a little fenageling it all lined up and got it all bolted up. Now just waiting on the aluminum to make a bracket for the radiator and I'll be driving it. The previous owner stuck in a HD cooling radiator and cut the core support. Well, this truck used to be a 360 with three on the tree. It was converted to the inline 300 and four in the floor. The HD radiator was thicker and the 300 in longer so the fan sat less than a inch from the radiator. When the mount broke it slammed the fan into the radiator and just caused all sorts of issues. I installed a new fan, the radiator for the 300 and I now have to make a filler bracket. It has no a/c so the regular radiator should be fine. One step closer to putting it back on the road. I only had about 25 miles of ownership when that while mess went down.
BTW, Im in Douglasville, GA west of Atlanta off I-20.
