Remaining projects - Life Expectancy

I watched the 10 Commandments (again) over Easter. Went to my shop. Looked at the work remaining on my 55; looked at the work to be done (not even started) on my 73 bronco....have to live at least as long as Moses - not counting projects my wife is apt to have for me!!

Man I know the feeling, Dont think I will make it long enuf to complete my current projects.

Wish I would have been RICH instead of so good looking so that I wouldnt have to work all the time.

Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat now if I'd just stay home now and then

I think about that too from time to time. Thought I'd finish my 49 F-1 last year but didn't. I definitely do not want to leave this earth without finishing it, so this year it is definitely getting finished...besides I'm getting too old to do this work anymore.

We probably wouldn't be doing these trucks if we weren't project people in the first place. I find that one thing is consistant in my life is that I go from project to project and when I'm closing in on one being finished, my creative mind will dream up another one. I would say that's what keeps us going - always having something else coming up. I enjoy the creative process and problem solving of projects. Keeps the mind and body active too. Joe

Thanks for the welcome. I can identify with this thread. I'm 71 and have a lot
of work to do on that 49 F1 out in the garage.

Working on 52 F-1, getting a 52 F-3 driveable (almost there), working on my 79 Ford F-150, 66 Honda Dream 305 Touring (all original with 6,800 miles that my dad bought brand new), touching up a 69 Chrysler Newport convert w/ 383 that my grandfather bought brand new, TRYING to find time to ride the Harley here and there and that's all on top of my wife wanting me to restore the house as well. Anybody have a phone number to a good psychiatrist? I think I need one

I have plenty of projects, some will never get finished. That being said I enjoy working on my projects (most of the time) so any unfinished business will end up being someone elses dream.

I understand what your saying about having to live as long as Moses to finish all your projects. I am wouking on my 48 in an enclosed trailer because the garage is full of other projects.

Very nice lookin toys there! Nice garage. What kind of fuel mileage are you getting on that Super Duty? My 2008 is killing me. Took it on a trip this week. $4.10 a gallon for about 13 MPG.

What kind of engine/tranny set up do you have? I have an 04 F-350 crewcab longbox dually 4x4 w/ 6.0 diesel and 6 speed manual tranny and get about 16 around town and typically around 28 on the highway.
