FYI the glow plug light that you mention is the WTS, no for the glow plug itself, they can cycle till 2 minutes.

BTW welcome to the forum

After blowing the #22 fuse a couple of times, I disconnected the fuel heater in the filter bowl by unpluging the top connecter on the driver side of the fuel filter bowl.n Put in a new fuse and it seems to be working. I have a 95 7.3 turbo.
Thanks for the help. The forum saved me from taking it in paying a big bill.

Welcome to FTE! Are you sure you unplugged the fuel bowl heater and not the "water in fuel" sensor?

^^^^ Strong possibility. Easy way to tell; the heater is the only electrical connector on the fuel bowl that's a single FLAT blade terminal. The sensors (water in fuel and fuel filter) are both stud (round) terminal connectors.

Well now. The symptoms of the OP match the symptoms I've been having. Did you get charged a core for the IDM?

I have a 1995 7.3 f250 and it's doing the same thing

I pulled the fuel heater out and put it all back together and put a new fuse in it and it blew the new fuse. I read on another forum that you can test the pcm by unplugging it and putting a new fuse in and if it blows that one than it's not the pcm. I'm stumped, I have no idea what is going on with this truck and I've been working on it for 2 days and still can't figure anything out. A little help would be nice

Leave the fuel bowl heater unplugged, and make sure it is the fuel bowl heater and not the Water In Fuel one.

First of all, welcome to the forums! You will probably get more responses if you would start a new thread, instead of piggy backing it on a 5 year old thread. That said, did you unplug the heater wire and tape it up, so there is no chance of the wire shorting to ground? Did you inspect the wire to see if there are any breaks/bare spots in it, where it could short out? While the fuel bowel heater is usually the cause of fuse #22 blowing, the harness can be breaking down from oil/fuel soaking the insolation. Inspect the harness closely.

I did not unplug it from the side I just pulled the heater out of the fuel bowl and put it back together. Someone else said that there is probably a wire grounding off and shorting out the sistem but I have checked almost every wire I can and they seem fine.

Welcome to FTE!
nice job finding this old thread. Try looking through this flow chart. It should help you find your problem. And, let’s not start the truck with ether. It is not a healthy practice for these trucks
