After Sandblasting
I am on a steep learning curve!
After I sandblast the frame or body, what should I put on the exposed metal to keep it from rusting before I put primer on it??
I'm restoring a 52 F1 and I'm learning as I go!

After Sandblasting
After bead blasting my sheetmetal, I cleaned it with scotch bright pads and carpet wheels on an angle die grinder, when it was all shiny, I washed it with metal prep solution and once dry, spray coated it with Dupont Variprime to protect the metal while doing repairs to specific areas, like rebuilding flanges or patching the area in front of the running board on the rear fenders.

Nothing. Primer should go on directly after blasting. The raw metal will start to rust almost immediately. It's typically not advisable to blast unless you are prepared to aply primer right away. If you are blasting a large part that will take a couple sessions, either primer what you have completed or reblast the completeld area after the whole thing is finished to knock down the flash rust. It just takes a quick pass. Don't try to use any oil based products to keep the rust at bay or you'll never get any primer or paint to stick in the future.
