Does anyone else think FORD should be involved in pro stock?FORDS already dominate IHRA pro-stock.Involvment in NHRA pro stock can only help FORD MOTOR CO
The problem with that is the field is insanely competitive. Those Pro Stockers run within .001 seconds of each other all the time, and they're some of the best drivers on earth. Warren Johnson, Jeg Jr. and Troy Coughlin, Mark Pawuk, those guys cut it close. I'm just happy seeing John Force/Tony Pedregon dominate Funny car. Ford would be so many years behind the GM guys that it wouldn't even be worth watching. I know the Pontiac guys spent years developing the Grand Am racecar to replace the Firebird, what could Ford do that could match them? TK

Robert Patrick qualified #6 last race, they are getting close, they are supposed to be going to ZX2 bodie style.I think the problem is with NHRA,like BOWTIE BILL FRANCE,the rules favor gm +dodge. For example NHRA let Cavaliers narrow the front end to be same as dodge neons, but denied the same change for FORD--5" wider than the rest.Scott geoffrian is getting close,we need a little help from FORD.By the way check out some IHRA action FORDS kick butt, but with 800+ cu in. I think the potential is there.
When did Bob Glidden leave? Someone was supposed to bring a Ford in the middle of 2002 but I don't remember if it happened. I have heard it will take major backing by Ford Corporate to get a team running. Read: they lost $5.45B last year.
Aaron.
Currently their are 2 fords in nhra pro stock, robert patrick, scott geoffrion.Geoffrion is in a HURLEY BLAKENEY MUSTANG,ROBERT PATRICK PURVIS FORD MUSTANG.
