So it's about a month and a half away and we are still going even though we heard 1/2 the state is burning down flooding or some in some state of non calm..

Leaving NH Sat morning (Aug 18) Tenitative plan is to get to Nashville (ya a little side trip) on Monday and than in CO (CO Springs area) by Wednesday. Going to check out Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. Not sure if we're going to fit both into a full do or do 2 days.
Than going North to Denver and stopping at Red Rock on the way to check it out. Probably will not catch a show. There is also some Bear Bar just West/S West of Denver we will probably check out. After that not sure. Have to start heading back (on the road)by Thursday Aug 30.

We are so good we have nothing set in stone yet and no hotels booked. we're gonna need a vacation after are vaction.

I highly recommend a trip up to estes park, check out the stanley hotel, go for a drive in rocky mountain national park. always stuff to do in denver, red rocks ampitheater, tons of microbreweries up and down the front range, so on and so forth.
Yep I am probably the only person on here from the Canon City area. Way south of Springs

f you decide to come a bit further south, I highly recommend the Royal Gorge Bridge, as well as Bishops Castle. Bishops Castle can be found using Google. I guarantee
you will find the Castle a very interesting visit, especially if Mr. Bishop is on site.
