Cowl Hoods

I found a good deal locally on a steel cowl hood, it fits his truck perfect so I am sure it would be the same on my truck..

But before I drop the money to buy, paint and install. Are they any actual benifits to a cowl hood or is just a thing for looks?

may help a little with heat extraction. More for looks than anything.

I am curious as well. I doubt there is any noticeable gains. But anytime you can lower temps, it helps with HP. Heat is an enemy of machines.

It has no benefit. I was forced to replace mine so I ended up with a fiberglass cowl.
