NOT A DARNED THING! Since spring seemed to have gotten such a head start, I got anxious, killed every living green thing in the lot, planted some Jonathan Green Black Beauty Tall Fescue and waited, and waited, and waited, but there was one problem. The seventy degree plus temps that we'd been getting..............went AWAY! 
That seed won't germinate till we get 70 plus day temps, so the ribbons were for scaring the birds, and they still do scare some, but not all. Even the plastic owl quit working after a couple of days..............
I hate the look, it appears that the circus has come to town, and is setting up a
merry-go-round, or that maybe I'm setting up a May Pole in anticipation of May!

this is the best time of year to grow grass!

All ya need to do is buy a few bails of straw and cover the hole yard with it, water then wait. It will grow.

Well, I thought that I was Phil, but now I'm not so sure! I'm thinking that alternative step two is looking awfully attractive as in,
