Headliner Adhesive?

I have finally found a good used headliner. The fibre board and original vinyl are in great condition but the fabric is falling off the board. What type of adhesive can be used to reattach the vinyl to the board. Also, I need to glue the sound deadener/insulation to the cab ceiling. What type of adhesive will work for this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Headliner Adhesive?

I tried the 3M brand upholstry adhesive and it didn't react very well with the vinyl. In fact it ate it up making it look like a giant wart!

I hope everyone can learn from my lesson to try things out in a non-conspicuous location first.

Now my question, has anybody got a recommendation for a good headliner treatment? My fibreboard is still good and I should only need to cover it again.

I not sure what the problem was. 3M spray adhesive is made for this purpose. I have a can of Elmers Spray adhesive that I used for the same application and it worked fine.
