I know it is not the same but I installed one of their FIPK Generation II kits (#57-2525-2) on my 2003 5.4L CC 2wd super duty. I have seen a increase in MPG hand calculated between fill ups (and with the ScanGaugeII as backup) is 1.05 MPG increase. Although not a lot it is almost 29 extra miles per tank and for me that is pretty good. It has been around 1200 miles so far and I have been closely monitoring the MAF for dirt and dust both before and after it and I can honestly say there isn't anymore then when I was using the stock system and ford filter. Also the tubing leading up to the throttle body has been clean and fine dust free as well with a white glove test. I have noticed it pulls a little longer before kicking down out of OD going up hills and is more responsive from stop lights. Nothing dramatic like K&N claims but I do feel a difference. After another month I will upgrade the factory Y pipe and see what if anything that does. The best part is I DIDN'T pay anywhere near $230+ for my kit. Mine was around $90 because it was a damaged box from a local retailer but had all the parts in the box. I probably wouldn't pay the full price for one but for $90 it was worth a try and I figured at worst I could recoup my money if I didn't like it. I do think the whole K&N HP claims are BS as well and the are too proud of their product pricing wise but overall for what I paid and how it performs I am happy.
