I set a deadline to have this truck on road by June 30th for a big show on July 1st.
Then starting July 2nd on Eco2 to have it ready for 3rd week in September for a all lower 48 state trip with it.
I simply never “rush” a job but will have to leave some very time consuming easy to do projects for later.

Over past 18 yrs searching found some pretty hard to find NOS items like a Grille, wiring, Bumpers, dash pad, some trim but know where near the cool stuff you have found. I only bought stuff when it was quite cheap & 1/2 price of a repop for NOS stuff. Now most is way above my pay grade.
Metal covers vs rubber plug like later 66’s Lots of sheet metal differences between all yrs. I had assumed 1965/66 were same but 65 closer to 64. Even changes in 66 model year.

I've been collecting the information from warranty plates for a while now. Not enough yet, but quite a good number to where I can start to see some trends.
Some interesting things with the 5M color code that I've noticed.
I have 10 trucks with that code so far.
All are F100 or F101 - no F25x or F35x so far. And no 4x4s so far.
All are September and October 1965 builds (1966 model year)
All are 6 cylinders - 240 and 300, but so far NO 352 in that color
None of them are special order - just the 2 digit DSO in each case
3 in close sequence - I have no trucks with sequences between these 3 - I put a gap if other trucks come in between. Remember, this is just 2 months of data for the 5M trucks so far. None before September and none after October - yet.
BK - 300 engine - Kansas Assembly - Kansas City DSO (53)
BN - 300 engine - Norfolk Assembly - Washington, DC DSO (26)
BR - 300 engine - San Jose Assembly - Seattle, WA DSO (74)
...
AK - 240 engine - Kansas Assembly - Atlanta, GA DSO (21)
...
BR - 300 engine - San Jose Assembly - San Jose, CA DSO (72)
AL - 240 engine - Michigan Truck Assembly - Cincinnati, OH DSO (31)
AK - 240 engine - Kansas Assembly - Davenport, IA (45)
...
AK - 240 engine - Kansas Assembly - (uncertain about DSO)
...
BC - 300 engine - Ontario Truck Assembly - (uncertain about DSO)
...
BD - 300 engine - Dallas Assembly - Phoenix, AZ DSO (75) - this is your truck
None of them are Standard Cabs.
The oldest one I have is a Ranger code V81 (red buckets) with the 5M - would be a cool combo. Long bed in that case. Custom Cab, of course, because it is a Ranger
One is D81 - Beige interior Custom Cab
All the rest are E81 - Red interior Custom Cab
The oldest one - the Ranger - is an Automatic
Then eight 3-speeds
Then your truck is the newest - so far - an Automatic.
All 9" - 08 (3.50) or 09 (3.70) code.

One of the other trucks that is 5M that I saw on here had similar marks on the cowl. If I recall that one said "In Dash Radio", but I'd have to find that one again to be sure.

Here's the other post I had read that made me think of your truck, too. Maybe you bought it from this guy?
