Thanks for the heads up, I need to go get myself one today. I have been using a three step mini ladder and have to keep moving it around to check stuff under the hood.
With the new truck I cant reach the top of the hood to close it I am going to have to rig up some kind of a nylon strap that hanges down a couple ok a few inches to grab on to to shut it.

 

Fwiw, was in Lowes today, and they had them for $22 also.
Got my truck one for Christmas. I use it in the house for trim and paint work also.
