when this forum page opens there is an advertisement that pops up and displaces the first post down, what happens is you go to click on the first post and you end up clicking on the advertisement. I realize the forum needs advertising support but this is annoying.
I get the Nitto tire ads, and theres been several other ones too, in the first post slot but no pop-up? What pop-up are you referring to? I skip past the ad and don't have an issue with it. Are you a supporter by any chance?
I would be a supporter but when I looked into it seems you have to put your credit card into the computer and I just dont do that. Any internet orders i do only a phone call.Iff there is a better way, let me know!!!
I'm a supporter and I still get the Nitto tire ad that pops up as the first post in the forum, pushing the others down just as your ready to click what you believe is the first post in the forum. It's annoying...
EXTREMELY ANNOYING. I use an iPad and I really like it but when I touch the screen the dang threads bump down and I go to the wrong one because that dang nitto ad pops in and bumps everything down a line at the exact moment in time that I decide to crouch the thread I want to read.
I am a supporter and that is the only ad that shows up, the banner stuff and sidebar stuff is gone and I get something like 1000 private messages. Don't forget the t shirt and bumper sticker!

Glad I'm not the only one annoyed by Nitto's continual posts, although I completely understand the need (and benefits) of advertising. I don't like companies that pretend to be posting something interesting but its really an ad. Ads should be off to the side, not in or over the content. I would actually be less interested in their product now, not more.
I'm not a supporter, so I can't complain too much, but I am a lifetime member over on another site owned by internet Brands.

Look toward the top of the page on the right side in the blue bar where it says "Go Premium!". Click on that and it will give you instructions from there. For what it's worth, we (as supporters and / or moderators) still get the ads for Nitto and others that are posted as the "Post Release" types of threads. They usually come in at the tops of all of the forums as the first thread you see. For some reason lately, those have been slow in coming up and sometimes throw off the rest of the forum / threads as Joel has alluded to in his post above.

Is there a way to become a supporter over the phone or mailed check (prob not) without putting your credit on line. Pay pal sounds conveniant and you can buy pay packs BUT the email they sent me states you can use it after you provide name and ssn on line. Great! Any online purcases I do only through their customer service number.
i installed the Ad-block extension for Firefox (browser that I use)
don't see any ads on any of the sites I visit. even gets rid of those annoying ads on Youtube.

Hey I never flew in an airplane eather.
Sorry it took me a little while to get back to you on this. I had asked this question on your behalf and was awaiting an answer. Good news......you can pay by a mailed check. Renee at FTE Membership is going to contact you via PM with the information.
