Just take a large screwdriver and hammer and hit on probably top edge as will have less rust than bottom side. The plug will turn in hole. Then just take channel locks or a plier - Vise grip and pull them out. Using a proper sized socket to knock them back in. I prefer the brass kits as listed. They make a expansion plug/freeze plug installer but the socket/extension works well too. I normally put some type sealer on plug before installation.
