Pro street

Could anyone tell me the minimum distance between shock mounts on a four link suspension before the rear end becomes unstable on the street? Any help would be greatly appriciated

I don't know of any minimum distance figure that could be given, there are way too many variables. Best I can tell you is that moving the shocks inwards towards each other exponentially decreases their effectiveness. any suspension is a series of compromises, it's near impossible to talk about a single part without taking account of the entire package, it depends on what is most important. Pro street chassis are not noted for their cornering ability.
