Common mod sticky

I am curious why we don't have a common mod sticky. Or a mod sticky with links to all the mod write ups that have been done on these trucks. The USB2 mod, mirror LED mod, interior light LED. Etc. there have Ben some nice write ups on these mods and I am sure some others. It would be nice to have a sticky that will take you to all the links for those write ups rather then someone having to search, or stumble across them..... Thoughts?

I am not very good at write ups, but enjoy reading them. I have done the usb2 mod and the aux reverse light mod from reading them. My vote is that it is a good idea.

That sticky exists on other forums. My vote is for us to have it here.

I am also curious about this reverse light mod.

I am thinking it is adding aux rear spotlights. I added them to my last truck. Rather then tieing them into the reverse lights. I powered them thru a relay and toggle switch in the cab. Then I could turn them on anytime. Used then for launching and retrieving my boat at night

04XLT,

Are you referring to the rear LED light bar?

That is basically what I did. I just bought a 20 dollar set of driving lights at Wal-Mart, and mounted them under the rear bumper. Although I opted to just have them hooked up to the reverse lights. I don't tow much, so I didn't need the light back there for that purpose, its just that the back up lights suck. Now I can see backing into my driveway in the dark.

Did u replace ur third brake light and cargo lamps with LEDs? I was wondering about doing that and how well it worked.

Thanks yes I did do the LED light bar under the tailgate with brake, flasher, reverse and running light. I also did the 62in amber light bar flasher, running light under the doors. (btw thanks for the tip on removing the head lights. Wiring was easy).

That is a common one. That and replacing the license plate lights and all marker/brake lights, etc, with LEDs.

By the way, my bad on the how to page on other forums. I was thinking about the Tech Folder in the Super Duty forums on this site.
