Ordered a new F-350 SRW last saturday with fifth wheel prep option(Heck yeah i'll post pics!). I'm sorry if this was covered but not having any luck searching. Question is will the Reese 18k Elite hitch fit as well? Truck I believe is only rated for 15k so I don't see any reason to spend more on the 25k version. Thanks guys!
I also have a F350 with the fifth wheel prep package. The 18k Elite hitch will fit in our trucks. My fifth wheel only weighs 10500 loaded so this hitch would be plenty for me.After much research I settled on the new B&W OEM Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch. It's a 20k hitch.I ordered it from RV Parts Country and I should receive it some time next week.In my opinion it's a better hitch than the Reese for less money, assuming it's as good as the regular Companion hitch.
Thanks guys. I didn't know about the B&W but I have a good connection for Reese hitchs thru my brother in law and one of his vendors. Can get the Reese 18k for 600 some odd dollars; 25k for 800 some dollars.

I have the reese elite 18 K hitch in my 2011 and the only complaint I have is it is heavy to install and remove. It is a good hitch and easy to remove. If you have a good supplier and price go for it you won't be sorry. You are getting a much better price than I did.

That is a great price for the Reese. If I were you I would order it right away before your brother in law or his vendor change their minds.

There is a local privately owned truck accessary store right down the road from me who only sells B&W. They say they make the best towing devices. Personally I have no idea but I would trust Reese products.

I've ordered stuff thru him before so I'm not worried. That said its getting ordered monday even though the truck won't be here for at least a another month!

B&W makes good stuff for sure, its just that I would have to pay retail. Brother in laws vendor doesn't carry them......
I have an 18 Reese Signature series...basically an Elite. Excellent hitch and very sturdy. When you start to get up there in weight a little overkill is a good thing.
Reese Elite 18K here with the factory prep. Drops right in. The factory prep is make by Reese and the Ford unit's are rebranded Reese Elite so it only makes sense. Your price is indeed good. I got my 18k Elite for about $800.
I also heve the Reese in mine. I really liked my hitchhiker, but it wouldn't fit. The Reese works fine but makes more noise than the heavier HitchHiker.
