Wrong turn

I have been having horn problems for a while. Last time was a few months back. I was trying to get a driver's attention to tell him he was number one in my book. The horn at first would not blow and then it stuck so I ended up being number one to some others.
This week I got around to trying to repair it. It is the X in my sig. Decided it was the horn switch or clock spring. I have yet to find a horn switch replacement, but I went ahead and replaced the clockspring. I had replaced the clockspring once before so I knew how plus I reread the instructions. I put it back together and it steers like it has no power steering. Disassembled and reassembled with the same results. I did torque the torx bolt per the manual.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I've missed and or how to fix it? All ideas appreciated. Thanks for reading!!

I've never heard of that issue before, but I'm interested in hearing what you find out. I can't imagine anything in the column there could be that stiff to make that much of a change. I've pulled and re-installed quite a few and haven't had issues after that. I've cranked down on the bolt pretty good too.
