New truck

Just got a 2011 ranger regular cab xl [IMG][/IMG]
It has a 2.3l and a 5spd

Looks like a nice truck, I have one like that a work except it is a 93 but still going strong with a 180000mi on it.

Nice, white is one of my favorite colours for a Ranger. 2.3/ 5sp? If so you should get some great fuel mileage.
Still have your 81 Bronco?

"Cute" truck I'm interested in knowing what the mileage is on something like that. I've often thought about getting one for a runabout, but hear mixed opinions on the mpg...

Sticker says 39 still breaking it in. I did go 300k on 40 bucks tho

Still have your 81 Bronco?
Of course. Big plans for it but gotta save up money needs a motor and I have to get my 89 running so I don't destroy the ranger[IMG][/IMG]

They say they are supposedly gutless and pigs but the two 351ms I've run had lots of power and not to bad on fuel[IMG][/IMG] this thing would launch at a light and smoke hemi pickups

These engines did get a bum rap for some reason, lots of folks that actually had them liked them alot.

The rap came because these things were smogged down and the timing was severely retarded but they make more torque at idle than a 350 at 3500 rpm

Sadly the 70`s wasn`t a good time for fuel economy or power.

should be able to buy an aftermarket timing set to fix that for under $50
