Im working on a motorcyle tank, and I just have a primer question.
I have the tank stripped to bare metal, and I had to do a little filling and to do that I used some filler with fiberglass in it. (think its called everglass, fiberglass reinforced body filler)
I have some por 15 self etching primer that I have from when I painted my engine, and i was just wondering if this primer is acceptable to use over the bare metal, and the filler that has fiberglass in it.
If its not, what should I be looking for?
Any help is appreciated as I really would like to put a decent at home job on this motorcycle tank!
I Wouldn't use the Por.. You should use a direct to metal primer surfacer to even things out. Then finish it with 400 (or so ) grit wet ...
You may be able to get one in a rattle can . It will need to have some filling capabilities
