Cruise Control Cable

Looking at 97 F250, possible purchase. Owner keeps it in pristine condition, presenting issue is the cruise control cable needs to be replaced so I was wondering if any member(s) know of a source, or perhaps familiar with a universal replacment?

rockauto . com has the part I'm sure.
Or if one from a F-150 with a 5.4 will fit, I'll give you one. Just pay the shipping.

Phill, appreciate getting back w/ me. came up with a couple of p/n and then ran a search on rockauto.com and they did not have a listing. I tried calling but after few min's. decided it's getting late and perhaps try again early Sat. or Mon. a.m.

Original part # f65a9a825cb

Replacement part # f75z9a825pa

Not sure item is same for the F150 and F250; if so, and can't not locate thru Ford part supplier I certainly can send cost for shipping. I will continue the research; rockauto.com, and couple other Ford part suppliers. Again, thank you!!. .

Seems there are 2-3 versions of the 97 -99 Cruise control cable and the VIN is required to determine if it's the correct version. Considering the item is discontinued it will be like looking for Hen's teeth, Only Ford!!! Looks like I will have to get back into the Sunday morning salvage shopping routine. Again, thank you!!. .

I noticed a plug on the brake pump disconnected and a fuse broken near this connector.I have a code B1226 on.
Is this cable the one for the cruise control?

If not, where is the cruise control cable located?
