Crew Cab Seats into an excursion

Can a crew cab rear seat be used on the middle row of the excursion? I can keep all of the track from my old seats would the seat parts just bolt to the frame of the excursion seat?

I haven't looked that close, but I don't think it would be a direct swap. I wouldn't do it out of the simple fact that the crew cab rear benches are SO uncomfortable. Like riding on the wooden seat on the front of a horse drawn carriage.

I agree on the uncomfortable....

I'm on a business trip at the moment but if you don't have an answer by this weekend I will take a look at my SuperCrew and the Excursion and see if it looks like the seat could be easily bolted to the Excursion frame.

Why not look into transplanting SD front seats into mid position of EX?

Search on here. I think someone has added rear-facing bench behind 3rd row(?). There should be room. Just like our '59 Dodge wagon.

Yeah I have looked intop the 4th row but the reason im looking at the crew cab seats is my 2nd row leather needs replacing and crew cab seats are a dime a dozen on ebay and good excursion seats dont come up often.

I really had wanted to swap out the King Ranch seats into my X at one point. But the second row is what made me have doubts too. Real interested to know!

I like the idea of the SD front buckets as a swap for the Ex. 2nd row...

That's exactly what my kids do with the 2nd row buckets in our '04 Ltd.

The seats in the truck and the Ex are different. The ex seats tilt and slide forward and also fold flat for hauling stuff. The trucks seats just fold up. I will be trying to do this conversion from truck to Ex on my 08 Ex build in a couple weeks. I will let everyone know how it goes.

Use a second row split bench from an extended cab! Then it would fold, and give you 2 nice seats on the sides, and a fold down center armrest and stuff. No idea if it would fit. Just throwing ideas out there.
