Hello,
I am putting a 302/C4 in my 1946. I have a donor motor from a 1973 maverick. The car was drivable when I purchased it. My question is, on the carburetor, should I rebuild the stock carburetor, or update the carburetor/intake. I'm not really looking for performance, just decent fuel mileage.
If you upgrade to a vaccum secondary four barrel and a true dual exhaust, you'll likely get better mileage and more power.Provided the engine is in good running cond. The upgrades will make the engine more efficient.Try to use 600cfm or a little smaller.
